It's not often at this blog that we praise the English Premier League but there is good reason to do so now. Because Arsene Wenger, the man who has been hailed for his coaching acumen by many in the game, chose to discuss something equally as important as football recently.
Wenger wished all the Gunners faithful in India a Happy Diwali, noting his admiration for India and Mahatma Gandhi. Left unsaid but implied was praise from Wenger for the greatness of the Indian cricket team - known as the "world's most popular sports team."
